Mar 26th 2026 at 16:23:11Started as a FB marketplace transaction. I sent Zelle info (which shows my email) and immediately got an email that someone was trying to pay me, but I needed a business account and the buyer needed to send more money. It came from a freaking gmail account! i work in cybersecurity and this was full of red flags. I told him to cancel hos supposed payment, but he said it already deducted and i HAD to call the number (this one) from the email. when he answred it was CLEARLY not a business, but some dude standing outside in the wind. He just said “this is Michael.” i waited a few beats… “with who?” he said something like “uh, the business department.” i told him he was a scammer and hung up. he called me back and I blocked him.
